What size drip tray do I need?
Question
How do I choose the right size drip tray?
Short answer
Choose a drip tray by checking both the footprint of the item and the capacity needed for the likely leak. The container, machine or battery should sit safely inside the tray, and the tray should have enough capacity for the expected drip, leak or residue.
SERPRO practical guidance
For physical fit, measure the longest side, shortest side and any height restriction. For containment, consider whether the tray is for nuisance drips, routine maintenance, small container storage or a more serious leak risk. Chemical compatibility should also be checked where the liquid is not a routine oil or water-based fluid.
Common mistake to avoid
Do not choose by litres alone. A tray can have enough capacity but still be the wrong shape or too small internally for the container.
